Skeleton Wedding
62
The moon entered the sky larger than usual that morning. The marshmallow trees shimmered as the skeleton bride slowly walked down the black carpeted isle toward her skeleton groom. Silver glitter slowly flurried to the floor like brilliant sparkly snow on a perfect Hallows Eve day. Family and friends could be heard all around the tomb sobbing in happiness as their fellow dead tied the knot with grins stretching ear to ear. The photographer snapped pictures and the chilldren quietly played out in the candle lit cemetery. The minister, reading from his holly book, tipped his top hat backwards and asked the magical question. As the skeleton couple said "I do" fireworks of different colored candy corn filled the sky. There were cheers and applause, and the married bride and groom kissed. Their ivory teeth clanked. Click, Click went the camera's flash. They turned and began to walk down the isle to the cemetery doors as everyone threw strings of cotton candy in the air. The doors swung open and the black glitter twirled past their bone white faces. A pumpkin carriage pulled by beautiful black horses with purple fiery eyes approached and the happy couple climbed in. As they rode away into the moon rise, crows and iridescent bats circled them. The ceremony was perfect, just what they wanted. A single red tear of happiness ran down the brides cold cheek bone as she watched the ghostly trees pass by her window, her hand held in her lap by her skeleton prince. They rode off never to be heard from again.
